Waldorf-Inspired February ActivitiesThe shortest month of the year is brimming with opportunities to embrace the magic of winter, prepare for spring, and bring warmth into your home through meaningful, seasonal activities. Whether you’re crafting, baking, or exploring nature, February is the perfect time to nurture connection and creativity. Here’s a daily guide to inspire you throughout the month, filled with crafts, recipes, and activities that align with the rhythms of the season. February 1: Create a Nature Table for February. February 2: Celebrate Candlemas, the half way point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox. That's right, Spring is just 6 weeks away!. February 3: Tell a story about Brigid, the Celtic goddess of light, and weave simple St. Brigid’s crosses with natural materials or paper. February 4: Sew some Felt Gnomes to adorn your winter nature table with our easy tutorial that's perfect for younger children. February 5: Go on a winter nature walk and look for signs of animal activity—tracks, nests, or even scat! February 6: Make ice crafts. In a smaller bowl, mix together grapeseed oil, agave and vanilla. Mix wet ingredients into dry, then chill dough in refrigerator for one hour. Place dough in between two large pieces of parchment paper and roll out until ¼ inch thick. Remove top piece of parchment paper and cut out cookies with a small heart cutter. Using a metal spatula, place stars on a parchment lined baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees until lightly browned around the edges, 7-10 minutes. Cool completely, prior to handling cookies. February 15: Create a “Kindness Jar.” Fill it with slips of paper listing acts of kindness, and draw one each day to complete, or create a Kindness Quilt.
