Grade 2 Unit 3 The Wonder of Heroes
The Wonder of Heroes is a language arts unit that explores courage, kindness, perseverance, and responsibility through inspiring stories of heroes from around the world. Children hear stories of figures such as Mary Two-Axe, Chief Dan George, Hua Mulan, Clara Lemlich, and others while reflecting on what it means to walk a good and compassionate path.
This unit places a strong emphasis on the beginning stages of cursive writing through gentle, step-by-step lessons that introduce letter forms. Alongside daily cursive practice, children strengthen foundational literacy skills through phonics games, sight word activities, storytelling, narration, movement, and creative main lesson bookwork.
Rooted in Waldorf pedagogy, this heart-led unit supports the developing Grade 2 child through meaningful stories, artistic learning, and joyful literacy experiences.
This purchase includes one digital curriculum unit with 15 days of lesson plans and 5 days of flexible projects. This unit will inspire you with beautiful images, clear instructions and exciting project ideas.
And that's not all. You will also gain access to the Wonder Hub, which includes supporting documents, videos, resources, and community.
