Grade 4 Unit 7 The Wonder of Norse Mythology 2
Welcome to the thrilling second unit of Norse Mythology! This unit takes us on a deeper exploration of the rich body of myths of the North Germanic peoples, stemming from Norse paganism and continuing after the Christianization of Scandinavia and into the Scandinavian folklore of the modern period. Engage in lively discussions, thoughtful reflections, and creative writing activities to bring the stories of the Norse gods to life. This interactive approach will deepen your child's understanding and make learning a fun and engaging experience.
Special attention will be given to further developing grammar and writing skills. Your child will also continue to gain skills in dictionary use, reading aloud, and oral language features. You will guide your child to review the parts of speech already learned: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, and prepositions. In this unit, they will learn about the use of articles, conjunctions, and interjections, and your child will work more with commas, exclamation marks, and question marks as they learn about the Four Types of Sentences.
These Norse stories are lively and fun, and this unit provides terrific opportunities to review them creatively, such as dressing up and acting out the stories!
This purchase includes one digital curriculum unit with 15 days of lesson plans and 5 days of flexible projects. This unit will inspire you with beautiful images, clear instructions and exciting project ideas.
And that's not all. You will also gain access to the Wonder Hub, which includes supporting documents, videos, resources, and community.
