Connection: This unit will empower your child to think critically and analyze information from different perspectives. Your child will read and view with a focus on critical thinking through a study of the Indigenous Peoples of the land and the explorers settling the land. How the stories have been told in the past, glorifying some over others, will be viewed from different perspectives.
Social Studies
Concept: The country's policies and treatment of minority peoples have negative and positive legacies. Natural resources continue to shape the economy and identity of different regions of your country. The country's institutions and government reflect the challenge of our regional diversity.
Connection: Your child will study the history and geography of the country they live in. They will look at the First People on the land and study the results of exploration and immigration to this country.
Math
