Your child will be entering a critical phase in their development around the 9th year of age, marking the transition from the unity and oneness experienced in early childhood to the development of an inner world separate from family, friends and beyond. Each child experiences this differently. However, common experiences can be anger, fear, feeling misunderstood or alone, and awareness of mortality. Be present for your child, open to listening, and trust that this is a phase of development that every child must go through on their path to independence.
