Jennifer RossJennifer is a creative, free spirit who is balanced by a deep sense of responsibility. Jennifer graduated from McGill University with a BA in English and Cultural Studies, studied in Israel and then travelled extensively. During this time, her love of poetry, music and dance flourished. With an interest in Eastern and Western philosophies, the yogic path, and finding a meaningful connection to Spirit, she looked for life’s work to incorporate all these elements. She found her calling in Waldorf Education, training at the Rudolf Steiner Centre in Toronto in 2001. Jennifer’s first teaching position was at Alan Howard Waldorf Academy in Toronto, where she carried a class from Grade Two until the end of Grade Five, finishing in 2006 to begin her own family.
Jennifer has two beautiful children and, with them, moved to the Comox Valley to join the Comox Valley Waldorf School when the doors officially opened in 2011. Over the years, she served as a Class teacher, Subject teacher, and part of the Collective Leadership team as Faculty Director. In addition, she was a mentor for the Rudolf Steiner Centre teacher training program and has offered courses in Biography Work related to personal development. Jennifer is currently teaching students and supporting learning pods using Daily Wonder curriculum. She continues to share her love of poetry, music, and dance through women’s workshops, spoken word performances, DJing, and facilitating ecstatic dance classes. Jennifer is certain that the world is ready for Daily Wonder and is inspired to be part of offering this cutting-edge education that is now accessible to all. |
